| More info: | The first outing for this particular Helen Love vignette, subsequently followed by appearances on
the We Love You single and, of course, Radio Hits 2. It was also a big
hit on late-night radio in the UK, making number 10 in John Peel's annual Festive 50 poll. Two different covers
were available - the same design but in red or green. I think the green version was a re-issue as I never
saw any until a long time after the original release. This was supposedly limited to 1,000 copies but I
have no idea how many there were eventually. Astral Angora has undoubtedly sold out along with almost
all the other old Helen Love stuff, but keep looking in the second-hand shops. Apart from Helen's contribution, the EP is worth your money for Golden Starlet's cover of Donna Summer's disco classic, Hot Stuff. The other songs are largely noisy art-school punk which probably won't appeal to most people. If you want to read the lyrics, follow either of the links above. |
